Are you sure that you are clicking on the red "x" at the far right of the screenshot that you shared? (It is very hard to see in your screenshot, so you must have implemented some kind of "night mode" within your browser.) You should be able to click on that red "x", and then you should have an option to enable New Quizzes. Otherwise, you might need to have a conversation with your school's Canvas administrator to help you resolve this issue. Please keep us posted here in the Community...thanks!
