Settings to make new quizzes retain correct student responses with multiple attempts

When building "new quizzes" what settings can I use to make correct responses be retained when students submit multiple attempts? 

Is there a chrome extension for new quizzes that retains student responses, like the chrome extension that does this for classic quizzes?

In discussion with equitable grading and how retakes to show mastery should be allowed this would be a great feature to have.
