Using website out of the country

Good evening,

I have been having an issue trying to get onto canvas when I use my Wi-Fi from home. Unfortunately I have to live in Tijuana for a little until i can afford to find a place closer to school and being that I work full time all I would really like to do after is get home and be comfortable to be able to access my school’s website. I was told to get a VPN but that is still not working, please help me to find a way to fix this so i can come home to do my homework and not have to stay out late at coffee shops while i use their Wi-Fi and get home late.

Hi @MarisolValentin,

Unfortunately, it sounds like you may either have unstable wifi or a bad connection to your internet service provider.  In either case, it's going to be very hard for people in the community here to help fix the issue.

Probably the best thing to do would be to call your internet service provider to ensure there are no knows outages or issues in your area, and they could also likely confirm the signal going to your equipment is within spec.  If there are problems with the internet signal, the service provider would usually need to send a technician out to investigate/fix those.

I could also suggest possibly moving closer to your wifi router/modem at home or moving the router closer to you, but that may not be possible.  You could also look into upgrading your router/modem to something with a stronger signal.
