Is there a way for me to duplicate a group of assignments instead of duplicating each assignment one by one and then moving them around?
Hi there, @CaseyCattron ...
You could use the Course Import Tool to duplicate any given number of assignments in the course that you are already in. It may sound a bit strange to do this, but it does work. Go to your course "Settings" in the course, and then you'll use this Guide to select specific content to import (in this case, duplicate):
When you specify the course name, choose the same course that you are already logged into. You'll see a small orange "!" icon next to the course name you select ... which is just warning you that you are selecting the same course. Just select the assignments that you want to make duplicates of. I had tested this process the other day (as I was helping answer a similar question), and the copies of my assignment were added to an "Imported Assignments" assignment group within my course.
I hope this might help you a bit. Sing out if you have any questions...thanks!
Hi everyone, It looks like the multiple rubric idea has bounced around a bit with the different feature request methodologies over the years, including a mention in New & Next 2024 according to this post, interviews in the enhanced rubrics features group, being listed as "under consideration" on the new roadmap, and this…
I recently had an exam provided as a Canvas Quiz in my class, and used some questions copied from question banks from other sections and prior years of the course. Some of those questions had "General Answer Comment" text already saved in them. I changed that text in several questions as I updated/changed the questions.…
I would like to suggest improvements to how collaborations function within Canvas LMS. Currently, collaborations are somewhat limited in how they can be accessed and integrated into course content. One potential improvement would be allowing collaborations to be directly linkable within Pages and Modules. This would make…
We are using the Learning Mastery Gradebook with an rubric on account-level. When we enter the gradebook, the sorting does not make any sense. How can we make the sorting so it makes sense to us. It feels like a randam sorting.
Can Canvas please create the option to use a "total points" system such that both the gradebook and the student grades page can show accumulated total points, not as a fraction of total points earned/total points possible? This would be SO helpful for progress tracking in a self-paced course where I do not want 0s entered…
