Im putting the finishing touches on a canvas course for next quarter. I would like to show a film. If I buy the film to be streamed, how do I make that available to students in my canvas course?
In theory, yes you can but it largely depends on where you're purchasing it and who is streaming it. For example, I have seen users purchase movies on Youtube, but then when they embed the video to the course - they still couldn't play it as every student would then have had to purchase it as well. Youtube basically blocked it from being embedded and streamed after purchase. The work around was the teacher hosting a meeting on Zoom while streaming it. However, I'm not suggesting that or other work arounds due to the legalities of the purchase. If it is via another platform, it may be best to ask them directly if it will work. If they give you a file with the video that you can save to your computer, that could also likely be uploaded to the course. Basically, you'll want to contact whoever has the movie and see if it will allow embedding and playing after purchase.
I have a quiz set for 2 hours and its availability window set for 2.5 hours. During the exam I receive the warning message as follows: Please note that the adjusted time limit you've set extends beyond the "Until Time" of [Apr 16, 2026, 11:30 AM] for this quiz. The quiz will automatically submit at the "Until Time" you've…

Hi all, Quick question about the Gradebook color status for a 2-part checkpoint discussion.
