So I have a previous subject from a couple years ago and I have been unable to get rid of it. It doesn't have a star to unfavorite it and I haven't found any solution for it. Is it possible for me to remove it?

I would suggest that you reach out to the Wake County Public School System's Canvas administrator to help you get rid of that Newbery Book Club item. I don't think you'd be able to get rid of that on your own. However, your school's Canvas administrator should be able to tell you if this can/cannot be removed from your Canvas account.
