Hi! I'm a TA and my professor had her students imported into canvas. How can I add other people if the "Add People" button is not available in the People page.
Thank you,
Steliana
Hello @STELIANACONEAC
Thanks for posting this in the global Canvas community!
I understand that the +people button is missing in your course. There are a few reasons as to why that might be missing.
The option to add people to a course can be missing if the permission is not enabled/allowed for your TA role in the course. This is usually set up by your school's Canvas admin. If needed, they can reconfigure the role permissions you have in the course to allow for you to add users to a course. Some schools will use a SIS(student information system) to add users to courses. Sometimes that permission will be disabled due to that process.
The option to add people to a course can also go missing if the course has ended. (course settings) Since this is a new course, that would most likely not be the case.
For this, you would want to check with your school's Canvas account admin to see if they can allow you as a TA to add uses to courses.
Hopefully this helps!

When using Classic Quizzes, there is no option within the quiz settings to enable anonymous grading, so we rely on instructors using the hide student names setting in SpeedGrader to…
Has anyone had a chance to try this with a Canvas quiz? Seems it may have a similar effect as ChatGPT Atlas able to provide all the answers to an open Quiz. https://www.theregister.com/2026/03/05/microsoft_adds_a_sidepane_for/
When you are creating a quiz and/or also reviewing a quiz in Canvas after the class has taken it, the questions aren't numbered so after you get past the first few questions, there is no way to even tell what number you are on. Can someone change that?
Speedgrader chaning file name when being downloaded. Speedgrader: When downloading a submitted assignment, the file name is being changed to an unrecognizable name — (Student's actual name was part of the file name — changed for privacy.) Ideas???
We are all familiar with the standard Course Calendar, where assignment due dates are automatically added. However, at my institution, we structure our assignments as Challenges that develop over a period of time, rather than just a single deadline. Currently, the calendar only highlights the "end point." It would be a…
