Routine low-stakes quizzes - weekly homework assignments, for example - should all be weighted the same regardless of the number of questions. There are topics for which it is hard to come up with more than a few questions, and there are topics for which many similar but trivially different questions come easily. In the end, however, each weekly quiz (homework) should be weighted the same (normalized to, say, 10 points per quiz). Canvas doesn't support this, though other LMSes do.
