Is there a limit or a maximum number of assignments that can be assigned to a course?
There isn't a maximum number of pages or assignments for a course. The main cap you'll want to be aware of is the size of the course, which will be determined by your institution (and its agreement with Instructure). For example, our courses are capped around 5GB, which far exceeds what most courses will need unless they heavily rely on multimedia to be uploaded directly into the course.
You can find you file cap by going into your Course Settings >> Course Details >> File Storage.
