Can Parents/Observers view student submissions for the student they are observing?

From the browser version of Canvas, is it possible for parents/observers to see what their child has submitted?

Generally speaking, observers can see the same things students can see, so if the submission is visible to the student, it will be visible to the observer.  If the submission is not visible--say, a quiz attempt where the instructor is not releasing the results yet--then the observer will not be able to see it either.

@mzimmerman is correct.  As of May 2022, this was also true for institutions using Assignment Enhancements. You can see the release note here.
