Hello -
When Students are allowed to create discussions in Legacy or New Discussions, where do these student created discussions go?
Thx
J
Hi @JamieL23,
They will go under the Discussions area, just like instructor discussions do. Students don't have the ability to create any graded discussions, nor can they add discussions to modules like a teacher could though.
Hope this helps answer your question!

Cool - this is exactly what I was looking for! I wondered if they'd be able to add them to a Module! So it sounds like instructors would have to be sure to have the Discussions link in the course Nav available for anyone to be able to find/see a Discussion created by a student. If I'm wrong let me know? Thanks so much again!
Jamie 🙂
When I add a link to a document using any major editor (Word, HTML editors, etc.), it is customary that the cursor lands in the box where the URL goes. Are public Canva embed iframes (canva.com/design/.../view?embed)…
Summary:The Learning Mastery Gradebook allows drag-and-drop reordering of outcome columns, and this triggers a call to /api/v1/courses/:course_id/assign_outcome_order. Hi all, Quick question about the Gradebook color status for a 2-part checkpoint discussion. If a student completes the first due date (initial post) but does not complete the required replies by the second due date, is there any way for Canvas to automatically show a color (e.g., missing/late) instead of staying as…
