I don't have experience using/downloading ePub files, but my guess is that you are using one of these Guides:
If you are having difficulties downloading, I would suggest that you reach out to the Canvas Support folks who might be able to help troubleshoot this further with you. After you speak with Canvas Support, please come back to this topic to provide an update so that we know how they were able to assist you.
