Multiple push notifications for each canvas notification

When I receive notifications from Canvas, I receive four push notifications for each one. For example, when an instructor sends an announcement, I receive four push notifications on my mobile device. Is there any fix for this? Should I just redownload the app?

I'm not sure if this has been resolved at this point, but did you have multiple push notifications set up? Did you double check your settings and course specific notifications? It definitely shouldn't be sending 4 times for the same exact thing - unless you are a teacher and have it set up to receive a notification for every assignment submission - for example. If you're still having issues with this please contact Canvas Support directly so they can help pinpoint the source of the issue and provide a resolution.
