Hi, I’m trying to find the best way for instructors to be notified when a student completes a quiz in Canvas. In our setup, notifications like “All Submissions” seem to exclude quizzes. Is there a way to trigger a notification or email alert when a quiz is submitted? Thanks in advance.
At this time, Canvas does not have a built‑in notification that reliably triggers when a quiz is submitted, the same way “All Submissions” works for assignments and discussions. Quizzes (both Classic Quizzes and New Quizzes) are handled a bit differently in Canvas, which is why they’re often excluded from submission‑based notifications. Common workarounds instructors use

I am just curiousas to why there is not a field to enter a description for an outcome at the account level? Or at least edit the rating when you attach/link an account level outcome to a rubric. When you create a new criterion for a rubric, you enter a decription for a rating, but for an account level outcome.
