How about less clicks instead of flashy features?

There are so many irritating places where multiple clicks are needed to do simple. Often a single box would solve the problem.

For example, not submitting a comment. What do you think I do when I press cancel? I'm going to go back find the submit button (that was probably just slightly out of view to begin with) submit it and then proceed. WAY TOO MANY CLICKS. Just put a post and proceed button on the warning. Done.

For another example, the pop up "Assign To…" button. It could be such a time saver! But I have to go into the edit page anyway and scroll down to check the box to sync it to the SIS gradebook. If I don't, it'll inevitably be forgotten and not get synced. Just add a dang checkbox. Or at least an indicator that says if it's already set to sync. SOMETHING. The tantalizing prospect of efficiency dashed.

@Brazedowl These both sound like good feature updates (though, we do not use the SIS Gradebook sync). The community has recently been updated with a new Canvas Collaborative Roadmap. There you can click the Share a Contribution button and get your idea to the decision makers.

Sadly, I have to link back to this thread in my suggestion because you can't insert or attach images on the contribution form. Which is actually a suggestion I made on the form itself.

Also this. After clicking through a rubric wont the score just go to the actual score box, and therefore the gradebook. I have to work down the rubric while scoring, then go all the way back to the top, click in that box, and type in the score. Why have a "submit assessment" button at the bottom of the rubric in the speed grader if it doesn't actually… submit the score?

There's a really easy fix for this, and I'm assuming that you don't have a box checked that will automatically calculate scores you give on your rubric into that "Grade out of ##" box. Go to the assignment in your Canvas course. Rather than editing the assignment itself, edit the rubric by clicking on the pencil icon next to the rubric. Look for the checkbox for "Use this rubric for assignment grading". If this checkbox is not checked, place a checkmark there, and save the rubric. Now, any time that you need to grade student work for this specific assignment, the scores you click on in the SpeedGrader will total together in that box for you. No more needing to scroll up/down in the SpeedGrader. You would need to ensure this checkbox is selected for each rubric that is attached to assignment in your course if you want to use the rubric for assignment grading.
