Liking Assessments and/or Announcements

Question

Hi all I want to create a way to record who has read and received assignment notifications. I usually make an Announcement with Task Notifications and have students sign a physical sheet to say they have sited and recieved it. However I want to do this using Canvas, but I cannot see a way for students to 'LIKE' or acknowelege either announcements or Assignments. Any ideas?

You're correct that there is not a way for students to "like" an assignment or assessment, but they can reply to and like announcement replies.  It might be an added step for you, but could still be workable.  Here is a guide from the community that explains it a bit. It might not be a perfect solution to your question, but it might help.
