Show student responses, Only once after each attempt is not working for students

I am trying to make it so my students can see their results after completing their assignment and view which questions were correct or incorrect. I also want to prevent them from going back a week later to open an assignment to give another student the answers. I have "Show questions", "Show student responses" and "Only once after each attempt" selected along with "Indicate response as correct or incorrect". But when my students submit their work, Canvas does not show what they answered and marks every question with red x's. I also have Multiple attempts and Build on last attempt selected. I wonder why this is happening?

Hi @AlisonStone -

From your screenshot above, it looks like "Show correct answer" is not checked, which means it will just show the questions, not the answers that are correct or incorrect. I would also add that to show the correct answer. That should allow the students to see the questions that are correct and incorrect after they have submitted the test.

Also, just to be sure, I might go back and make sure that I had the correct answers marked on each question. 😀

Well, I want the students to see if their responses and if they were correct, but I do not want to give them the correct answer because they have another attempt. All of the questions have the correct answers marked. New quizzes does not allow questions to be added to a quiz without a correct answer marked. It appears as though the "Show student responses", "Only once after each attempt" does not work because when I select this, students cannot see their responses when they hit submit. When I select this option in Settings, students are not able to see their results at all. They are only able to see their results if I select "For all attempts" after Show student responses.
