Unless I post as an assignment, the students cannot access the edpuzzle. Would love to know the reasoning behind this? I don't want to post it as an assignment.
Hi @MrHeyl - access to third-party tools in Canvas are subject to the limitations of their specific integrations. In this case, according to the EdPuzzle website, the only integration option for EdPuzzle within Canvas at this time appears to be through an Assignment. https://support.edpuzzle.com/hc/en-us/sections/360006699191-LMS-Integrations#h_d77d8832-488b-40a9-a9a4-f589d8a15d85
I hope this helps.
It gives more information sure. But then it shouldn't even be an option to provide edpuzzle as an external tool through a link. Thank you for your help!
Hi @MrHeyl,
That would be something EdPuzzle could (and probably should) add to their tool configuration that administrators install in Canvas. It is definitely something that can be prevented, but is probably overlooked as the vendors are likely just validating their intended path to use the tool works and not that they are leaving other unintended ways to select the tool available. That's my educated guess anyways…

Speedgrader chaning file name when being downloaded. Speedgrader: When downloading a submitted assignment, the file name is being changed to an unrecognizable name — (Student's actual name was part of the file name — changed for privacy.) Ideas???
We are all familiar with the standard Course Calendar, where assignment due dates are automatically added. However, at my institution, we structure our assignments as Challenges that develop over a period of time, rather than just a single deadline. Currently, the calendar only highlights the "end point." It would be a…
The current placement of the "Submit" button creates a "slip" in user behavior where habit-clicking "Next" leads to an accidental final submission. I think Canvas could easily fix this by: Moving the Submit button away from the navigation buttons (maybe above the question instead of below it) and/or Adding a "Confirm…
