How do I change my name in Canvas?

Question

I've been trying to solve this but I'm not sure how. The school changed my name and email and since then it has been showing my name improperly in canvas. Was wondering how to officially change this so my name shows up properly on discussion boards. It doesn't seem to let me manually change it when I go to edit profile or user settings. Thanks

Hi @Paxinic

Your Canvas Administrator can view your profile and edit/update the information as required, if you are not able to do so.

These are the instructions for changing your profile, which it looks like you have tried.

Your Administrator can edit your profile through the People settings.
