Brainstorming how to best use Canvas Portfolios.
We have our MBA in Educational Leadership Director who is very interested in using Canvas Portfolio. She has 4 courses that are used. Cohorts start and graduate each year, so students are in these four courses at various times. Students need to include assignments from the 4 courses.
I don’t think the Evaluation Portfolio will work because you choose particular courses with particular enrollments. Even though these 4 courses are offered every term, the portfolio will only be for those 4 courses chosen specifically. She would have to create a new Portfolio every term for the new courses.
A showcase portfolio could be an alternative. She could create an assignment in which the student has to create a showcase portfolio and submit it in the final of the 4 courses using the shareable view only link.
Questions:
- As an admin, do I have access to their showcase portfolio?
- Can a student delete or edit their portfolio after submitting?
- She needs access to the portfolio for 5 years if she is audited by state.
We are looking at possible what ifs so we know she would have access for 5 years.
