I know the lack of surveys was a big deterrent for some schools/institutions to fully explore New Quizzes. This should definitely help with adoption of New Quizzes, since it adds some more feature parity with Classic Quizzes.

My institution has been fully onboard with New Quizzes for over 6 months now, as we disabled Classic Quizzes at the end of April 2025. It'll be nice to let faculty know surveys are an option built into Canvas again, instead of directing them to use Qualtrics or Google Forms.

Will there be an admin report available to run for survey results?

Excited for this, as it was one of the big reasons we recommended staying with Classic Quizzes for some users. I'll be even more excited when the report data is downloadable (as that is what our survey mega-users really rely on).

Looks like it may be time to dust off our old quiz migration plan and start looking towards a day where users will only need a single Canvas quizzing solution.

Hey Woody - Yes! There is a new Survey Results report currently available in the UI, but we plan to add export capabilities in early 2026, stay tuned to Release Notes for that fast follow.

There's a strange interface quirk with New Quizzes that seems to break Canvas's normal 'flow', for some reason the 'Return' button is at the top of the screen for the quizzes and not at the bottom.

If you grab the scroll bar on the right, and scroll up the page, you will not actually be able to see the "Return" button either:

This is because the scroll wheel on your mouse will scroll you to the bottom of the page, and when it's done it'll scroll any remaining scroll wheel elements as well. It leads to extreme confusion for the average user, as they don't know where to go after completing the quiz / survey.

The button is there of course, but it's in a place where the interface does not normally have a button for the user to interact with.
