Students can't access BBB video recordings in Canvas

Hi,

I am having issues with my video recordings of BBB (BigBlueButton) in Canvas. I can record my class, but when the recording is created the students get a 404 error when they try to access the video link.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I do not have an exact answer for you and since @ffdixon has not replied back to you, all I can do is ask you a few questions:

Did you invite the students to the BBB meeting when you originally made the recording? I ask that because, it is my understanding that students are only able to view a recording if they were originally invited to the meeting, even if they did not attend the meeting.
You posted this question on (using Eastern Time) 2025-10-06 and today is 2025-10-18. When was the original BBB meeting and when were students trying to access the recording? I am asking those two questions because if your school is using the free tier of conferences, BBB recordings are only available for 7 days (as documented at How do I record a conference? - Instructure Community - 840 ).
