Within the Rich Content Editor (RCE) of Canvas, there is a "Record/Upload Media" button (it looks like a Play/Musical Note icon). You can then choose the "Upload/Record Media" option. A window will open up, and you can select the "Record" tab which will allow you to select both your microphone and web cam to start recording. If your school has the button that @Chris_Hofer mentioned disabled (my schools has it disabled), your school might subscribe to something like Canvas Studio. Canvas Studio does exist in the RCE.
