Instructor Account - Disassociate

I accidentally added my new institution's email to an account associated with an old institution for the Free for Teacher Canvas. I have since removed my new email but now I am not given permission to create a Free for Teacher Canvas account using that email because it says I already have an account (even though that email is no longer linked to my initial account). How do I disassociate the new email with the old Canvas account so that I can create a new account with the new email?

Hi there @AngelaAntonou ,

I just wanted to confirm -- the email on your FFT account that you tried deleting was added in addition to the email you signed up with at registration, right? FFT users do not have permission to delete the original email they signed up with at registration, but they can delete emails they added later on after account registration. If your secondary email was successfully deleted, you should see your primary email only, just like in my photo I provided below for you as a visual.

Is this what you're seeing? If so, this will need to be forwarded to the team at Instructure that manages the FFT instance for more assistance, which I can help you with.
