For my canvas name it is my under my mothers name, due to the fact that I am using her email for it. It will not let me change my Canvas name to my name.

If you have permission to change your Canvas name, you can do it by following the guidance in the Updating my displayed name in Canvas - Instructure Community - 853 support article.
If you do not have permission to change your Canvas name, you would need to contact your school's Canvas team or IT Department.
