how do i find the domain of my canvas to connect to dropbox?

If you look at the address/url bar in your web browser, you'll find your domein right there. It's the part right after https:// and before the first '/' character. For many, it will be something like schoolname.instructure.com, but it could be customized to your school's domain name as well.
