I was having trouble submitting my homework. It said file unable to upload. it was a PDF from Word?
Hello @DeniseTurner. The first person to check with is your instructor, who might have guidelines regarding the file types that are acceptable for assignment submissions. Unfortunately we in the Community won't know the answer to that question. If PDF files are okay, then I suggest letting your instructor know the assignment submission is not working and asking if you can send them the file directly. And contact your school's student tech support team for students as they may be aware of local support options.
I’m going to mark this reply as a solution. I realize it does not solve your problem, but it will help others who face similar a similar challenge.
Thank you, Professor,
I appreciate you taking the time to address this question. Becoming digitally literate, and more importantly, consistently staying current and relevant, constantly staying up to date with digital literacy is an enormous task to take up for us folks who had careers like carpenters and are now finding ourselves in a world needing to keep up with the tech outside of our trade that is now being integrated into our everyday life.
Your input has helped me a lot, thank you.
Best Regards,
Tyler
Our teachers regularly use comments in assignments to communicate with students. Good interaction! But, although students can see that there's a new comment in the browser Canvas under Recent Feedback, that doesn't exist in the mobile app. Also in the Inbox, they can choose to see Submission Comments in the browser,…
I'm a teacher that makes extensive use of Outcomes and alignments. The assignment view of my gradebook is pretty meaningless to students, and all of the information about growth and mastery of different learning objectives in the class is displayed in the Learning Mastery gradebook. Unfortunately, they can't see this view…
Hello Everyone, I'm Namrata Hinduja from Geneva, Swiss. Since updating to UI 7.0, I haven’t been able to access my to-do list—it just shows an "oops" error. I’ve already tried everything I could think of: logging out, starring courses, restarting my device, clearing the cache, reinstalling the app, and even removing the…
I have 3 children in the same school system. When using the mobile app it list all 3 children's classes. They are not organized and they are all jumbled together. They run by class period, then A or B day, and then alphabetical. I have a 12th grader, 11th grader, and 7th grader. There are simple additional filters that…
I have the Teacher Canvas app on my iPad. Last year, I was able to annotate student work with my Apple Pencil on uploaded student work. This year, however, when I click on the Assignment, I am unable to annotate the assignment. I can still assign a grade but I want to be able to indicate to the student where the errors are…
