Self To Dos not in the “To Do” tab

When I add my own To Do for a course, it doesn’t show up on the To Do tab in the mobile app (it shows up with all my assignments on the Desktop version though). I have to scroll to that date in the calendar. It would be beneficial to have it under the To Do tab with all my assignments so that I can have a badge number of my actual To Do count. Not just the ones my teacher assigns.

For this, I would recommend reaching out to Canvas support. To do lists should match up across both web and mobile, so if it's not doing so, this will be something that you will want to have Canvas support investigate. You can reach out to them via the "help" menu on the left hand side of Canvas.
