I can download files that have been uploaded for a Canvas assignment but need to determine if they were uploaded by the requested date.
Hi @PeterMiller,
In SpeedGrader, the upper right-hand area should show a "Submitted:" date, which would be when the student hit the submit button on their submission. It's possible that a student would have uploaded an individual file before the submit date/time, but in general those actions are likely to be seconds apart. See the How do I use SpeedGrader? - Instructure Community - 757 guide for more info about SpeedGrader if you are new to Canvas.
Hope this helps a bit!

@PeterMiller -
I believe the following will work and is a lot quicker than what my original thought was (which is what @chriscas suggested).
On the assignment. Change the due date to the date the assignment was due and put an until date that is for lack of information - yesterdays date(that way students cannot submit). I believe that all the entries in the gradebook where a submission occurred will turn blue for those that were submitted after the due date but before the until date. I just checked this out in one of my courses and what I stated above is what happens(or at least for me)

Has anyone ever encountered this error in the Admin Analytics Student section?
Has anyone run into issues with Speedgrader erroring when opening a student submission from a dropbox? See image for error information. I accessed this directly through the gradebook and instructors are getting the same message.
My class policy is that late assignments can be accepted at professor discretion, but they will have a 50% penalty. This is a gate you pass through once, and there are no further penalties. If it's late, you simply get 50% deducted from whatever the score was. This happens regardless of whether it's 5 hours late or 5 weeks…
Teachers often assume that because an assignment is a groupassignment, they will automatically grade it per group via SpeedGrader. With the option “Grade students individually”, they think they’re simply assigning the group grade to each individual student — without realizing that this option actually requires them to…
Hi There, We are in the process of transitioning to Canvas this year and were wanting to connect with any other MYP schools to see how you setup Assignment and grading under your modules. Or you could guide us to any resources you may have.
