embed function in RCE broken?

Is it just me or are more people having problems with the embed button in the RCE?

You push the cloud, enter the code, save, and the code will appear in the regular texteditor. After saving you see the code as text, but not the thing I wanted to embed.

I can still add HTML code to the HTML editor. This still works.

Just to be on the safe side, I tested this on our root account, different subaccounts, I've rebooted my computer, emptied my cache, the works. Nothing helps.

Mainly hoping to hear from you to see if this is an 'our environment' problem or an Instructure problem.

It seems to work fine here. If you did not try using a different browser yet, maybe give that a try? You never know 😉

Hi, I justed embedded a video and it works fine. Are you sure your embed code is correct? Did you try a different embed code to rule that out?

Might be taking you down a dead end but have you tried differing embed content, like a YouTube video? The behaviour you describe is often how other VLE RCEs will act if it doesn't like the code for what you are trying to embed or if the permissions are not correct for the content.
