How do I enable students to see Files in Canvas. It shows their view is disabled. Must be a click somewhere to open?
@TheodorePeters For Files to appear in the navigation menu, you need to go to Settings-->Navigation and enable it by bringing it to the top list (and saving). It may look disabled if no published files are present.

What @james_whalley mentioned is what you need to do. I will stress do not forget the save part. It is very easy to do that because the save button is at the bottom and typically off screen. Move the files item from the hidden section to the viewable section and then go to the bottom of the page and press save.
Only reason I posted this message is I have forgot to click save on more occasions than I care to state.
