Please explain how to use Canvas LMS and I have problems accessing recorded lectures
Hi @JanetAdeyemi ...
I'm a bit confused about the subject line and how it relates to your question about the Canvas LMS (Learning Management System). By chance, is that the name of a course you are taking/teaching at your school? For starters, are you a student or an instructor? There's too much information to provide about how to use Canvas in a single posting like this, and so if you are a student, I would direct you to the following set of video tutorials:
Getting Started with Canvas as a Student [Videos] - Instructure Community - 256768 (canvaslms.com)
If you are an instructor, however, there is a different set of videos that you can watch:
Set Up Your Canvas Course in 30 minutes or Less - Instructure Community - 258437 (canvaslms.com)
If you are asking about how to access recorded lectures, this would be a question that you'd need to contact your instructor about. Canvas Community members do not have access to your school's Canvas environment or any course(s) that you are taking. Your instructor should be able to tell you the best way to access those lectures. You can contact your instructor directly in Canvas by following the steps in this Guide:
How do I get help with Canvas as a student?
I hope I've interpreted your question correctly, Janet. Please let Community members know if there is anything else related to this topic that we can assist with...thanks!
I have used Blackboard, Moodle, and now work at a Canvas university. When grading quiz items. I want the ability to view all of the students' responses to a single item at once. This could allow consistency in grading and speed up the grading process. This functionality has been available in Moodle for over 10 years.
Has anyone ever encountered this error in the Admin Analytics Student section?
My class policy is that late assignments can be accepted at professor discretion, but they will have a 50% penalty. This is a gate you pass through once, and there are no further penalties. If it's late, you simply get 50% deducted from whatever the score was. This happens regardless of whether it's 5 hours late or 5 weeks…
Teachers often assume that because an assignment is a groupassignment, they will automatically grade it per group via SpeedGrader. With the option “Grade students individually”, they think they’re simply assigning the group grade to each individual student — without realizing that this option actually requires them to…
Hi There, We are in the process of transitioning to Canvas this year and were wanting to connect with any other MYP schools to see how you setup Assignment and grading under your modules. Or you could guide us to any resources you may have.
