My canvas inbox messages are auto forwarding to my outlook email box. How do I discontinue this to keep the two inboxes separate?

You will want to edit your Canvas notification settings (https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Student-Guide/How-do-I-manage-my-Canvas-notification-settings-as-a-student/ta-p/434 ) and make sure that notifications related to "Conversations..." (which is the Canvas Inbox) are not being sent to your email address.
