I understand you are seeing an issue with something called Classgather.
I am not familiar with Classgather as this is not a Canvas product. I believe that this question might be better directed to your institutions helpdesk or even Classgather's support team.

While typing an Announcement, sometimes midway, we need to check something for which we click on Grades or Assignments. Then when we return to Announcements, what we types simply disappears.
