The first trimester ended on Friday for students. I am trying to input grades for that period to complete my report cards. I am not able to view any grades.
Hi @CarlaCortez1 ...
Might you have some filters enabled that are preventing you from seeing things in your Gradebook? When you click on the "Grades" course navigation button on the left side of your screen, you'll see your Gradebook. Next to the "Apply Filters" button at the top left of the screen, do you see any current filters to the right of that button that have an "X" next to them? If so, try removing those filters from your Gradebook. (See the "Remove Filters" section at the bottom of the Guide I've linked below.) If you have added any filters, that is done via the "Apply Filters" button, but you should be able to remove any filters you might have set up using the process I've described.
How do I filter columns and rows in the Gradebook?
You should also be able to grade any submitted work in your course by going to the assignment in question and then clicking on the "SpeedGrader" button on the right side of your screen.
How do I get to SpeedGrader from an assignment, quiz, or graded discussion?
Hoping to hear back from you soon on this. Take care...be well.
I'll try to answer, but I do not have a lot to go on.
Do you have a bunch of links (a menu) on the left side of your screen?
Can you click on "Grades" on the menu on the left side of the screen?
If this does not help, call your boss and send him/her picture messages of what you are seeing on your screen.
A teacher at my school set up her coursework category to "Drop the lowest score" in both Canvas and PowerSchool (we use both). At the end of the semester, 13 of her 78 students had different percentages, with 8 of those being corner cases, resulting different letter grades. And all of those scores were higher in Canvas. I…
I'm not sure that this is the right place to post about this, but I was wondering if anyone has a fix for how the scroll bar for the entire page covers the scroll bar for just a document viewed in Canvas. The scroll bar for a document will stay visible until one attempts to interact with it, at which point the bar for the…
Hi There, We are in the process of transitioning to Canvas this year and were wanting to connect with any other MYP schools to see how you setup Assignment and grading under your modules. Or you could guide us to any resources you may have.
After using Canvas for a while, I picked up a small habit that’s saved me some last-minute stress with written submissions. Even when drafts are original, longer explanations and summaries tend to reuse common phrasing, especially in research-heavy assignments. Before submitting, I usually do a quick cleanup pass to reduce…
In the "How do I use the Learning Mastery Gradebook" page, under "Student scores" (https://community.instructure.com/en/kb/articles/660932-how-do-i-use-the-learning-mastery-gradebook-to-view-outcome-results-in-a-course#view-student-scores), the displayed gradebook shows a little colorful square and also points for each…
