If you used the Canvas Inbox to send a message to your instructor, and then you went to your "Sent" folder in your Canvas Inbox and deleted your messsage you sent to your instructor, your instructor would still be able to read your message in his/her own Canvas Inbox. That message you sent is not deleted from your instructor's Canvas Inbox.
