Improve the "Copy to..." function

It would be great if when using the "Copy to..." function the item being copied would be unpublished when it is populated in the new course. I have same courses but different start dates and when I copy something from one course to another it will pop up on my students "To Do" list or send them an email. I will quickly unpublish things but notifications still get through to the students.

I could see this as an idea to submit here in the Canvas Community website.  To do this, you'd want to use the following link:

Then, click on the blue "View and Submit Ideas" button.  On the next page, click on the blue "Submit an Idea" button.  There are also some documents I'd encourage you to read through prior to starting your new idea:
