Banner SIS import of student_id field in addition to PIDM

Question

We import the PIDM field from Banner to Canvas as the SISID field.  We would like to also import the student_id field so a cross-reference can be made for faculty wanting to use anonymous grading and pull additional reports.  Has anyone pulled the student_id field into Canvas as part of the user fields?  If yes, what field in Canvas did you use to populate with the student_id?

Hi @DonLutz,

We changed from using PIDM to student_id years ago, because PIDM just sin't used anywhere outside of Banner here and the number really was meaningless to faculty, staff, and students.  If you want to keep PIDM but add student_id somewhere else, the only place that would make sense to me is the integration_id field (if you're not using that at this time), since that can be displayed as secondary info on the grades page.
