Several colleagues and I have observed a new pop-up when accessing the Canvas homepage, which is unfamiliar to us. This pop-up requests users to confirm their humanity by completing a puzzle involving clicking on the endpoint of a car's path to a destination, resembling certain CAPTCHA tests designed to prevent bot access to websites.
This situation raises concerns regarding whether the Canvas system unintentionally deployed a new feature to the production environment during the middle of the week on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
