Does the app have a test environment?

We are implementing SSO. It's working in our test environment, but we haven't implemented it in the live environment. We want to see how it will affect app users before implementing in the live environment. Is there a way to access the test environment through the app? Is there a different way I should be going about this?

I'm not sure if this would work or not, but if you were to log out of the app on your mobile device, would you be able to type in the "test" environment URL for your school when prompted?
