Embedded YouTube Videos not displaying once "saved"???

Question

I have always embedded YouTube videos with no problem. Today, I embedded multiple videos into a canvas module page; I can see the videos while in "edit" mode, but once I "save" the video it disappears. I've tried on Firefox and Chrome. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @richard_epps

Were you able to test those other options like a different web browser to see if it had the same outcome? You might also consider clearing for browser cache and cookies for all time. It could also be happening because of some other HTML that is in the page causing the video to not display.

If you create a new blank page and embed a video and nothing else does it display once you save the page? If it continues to happen where the embedded video is the only content that you have added then you might want to consider reaching out to Canvas Support.

I just tried to embed a YouTube video into a content page within my own sandbox course, and it worked perfectly.  Here are my steps:

* Navigated to YouTube, and chose a video that I'd like to embed in a content page of my course.
* Harvested the embed code from the YouTube video page.
* In Canvas, while editing a page, I used the RCE (Rich Content Editor) to choose "Insert" >> "Embed" from the menu options.
* Pasted the harvested embed code from YouTube into the text box and clicked "Submit".  The video appeared within the RCE.
* Clicked "Save & Publish".  I was able to see my embedded video as shown below.
