I am not able to access course materials because it repeatedly asks me to sign in to view her files.

Question

I go to her class in Canvas to access notes, files, etc, but when I try to access anything in her class on Canvas, the system asks me to sign in and authorize myself. I authorize and use my school email as well as giving Canvas access to my drive. When I click to allow Canvas to access my drive, it reverts back to the authorize screen like I did a loop. No matter how many times I repeat the process or try to access the files in a different way, the log in screen always comes up and stops me from getting anywhere. I need help getting access to the files under her class.

Hi @AdrianKlinetobe,

In addition to the great advice @TrishaMeyer1 provided, I have one other possible suggestion.  You could try logging in to Canvas from a private/incognito browser session to see if that fixes the issue.  I think the Google integration with Canvas sometimes gets confused if you have multiple google accounts (school, work, personal, etc).  Opening in a private window will make you do a fresh login to everything which will mean only one google account and a smoother link process.

Has this happened across multiple days/logins? The first thing I would suggest is to make sure you are actually logged into your Google account, and make sure it is the right Google account (presumably one provided by your school). If you have more than one Google account, make sure you are not logged into any others. Close all other windows.

Also make sure your browser is up to date. Canvas requires the browser to be on the most recent or second most recent version.

Another thing to try is clearing your cache/cookies/browsing history.

Also note that you have posted on a global Canvas board, not a board within your own school. You may want to check in with classmates to see if anyone else is having similar issues.
