Re-Direct Tool in Navigation tab listings by default and not in course Nav

Question

Is there a way to setup the Redirect tool so a link it shows up as an option to add via the navigation tab in settings versus it being added to the course nav by default?

We want to have a link available for faculty to add to their navs at a point in the term but not at the start

Hi @JK_UBalt,

You essentially need to add set the "default" parameter of the LTI config to "disabled" to get the behavior you want.  Unfortunately, for the redirect tool, you'd have to do this via an API call after you configure the tool.  I do have a python script that would aid in this if you have admin access and are familiar with scripting.
