It would be useful to be able to pull up a side by side list (compare) of say 2 student responses on quizzes rather than to have to flip between individual student quizzes to determine the extent (or non extent) of similar responses.
Hi @amy_tracy_wells ...
Have you tried using quiz statistics to analyze your student responses to questions?
Might either of these Guides be helpful for what you're looking to accomplish?

The types of questions you asked and want to compare will determine how useful the method below is.
In Classic quizzes, you can go the quiz and click on Quiz Statistics and select student analysis -this will generate a csv file that has all the questions and responses for each student. You can then pick the students that you want to compare.Instructors guide for quiz statistics
For New quizzes I do not know if you can get the same type of download. I cannot find anything form the manuals and playing around with a new quiz.
Here is the instructors guide page that you can go use to try and find your answer. Here is the link to the New Quiz section of the Instructors Guide

Hi @amy_tracy_wells
When I want to do this, I open up two web browser windows side-by-side and launch speedgrader in each; it works pretty well. The only issue I have is speedgrader doesn't auto-update as you submit grades, you have to refresh the page to see changes. So, it can be confusing as to which students you have graded and which still need grading. I just refresh the page after I submit each grade.
Another tip, I will sometimes read through the submissions and find a response that exemplifies a good answer, then copy paste it into Word so I have a reference as to what I'm looking for in a full response.
This would be useful to check for cheating between two students. Perhaps more helpful would be the ability to export a test so that this could be done by Excel or a similar spreadsheet.
I want to build a page with a sortable table—allowing the students to click on a table header in order to sort the entire table by that column alphabetically/numerically. I've got some experience with HTML and have found some explainers on how to do this, but it doesn't seem to work. Does Canvas presently support sortable…
I teach middle school and my students have recently discovered the ability to play the "what-if" game with grades. They are now obsessed and are playing with it all the time. For the preservation of their sanity I would like to turn it off but don't want to hide their course grade. Is there a way to do so? PLEASE HELP by…
I'm not sure that this is the right place to post about this, but I was wondering if anyone has a fix for how the scroll bar for the entire page covers the scroll bar for just a document viewed in Canvas. The scroll bar for a document will stay visible until one attempts to interact with it, at which point the bar for the…
Hi There, We are in the process of transitioning to Canvas this year and were wanting to connect with any other MYP schools to see how you setup Assignment and grading under your modules. Or you could guide us to any resources you may have.
After using Canvas for a while, I picked up a small habit that’s saved me some last-minute stress with written submissions. Even when drafts are original, longer explanations and summaries tend to reuse common phrasing, especially in research-heavy assignments. Before submitting, I usually do a quick cleanup pass to reduce…
