Is it possible to have two different emails for one course. Say if my canvas email is linked to a different email than my teams account.
Good morning, @Cfurt6345 ...
E-mail addresses are not linked to courses. Rather, e-mail addresses are part of your entire user account within your school's Canvas environment. By default, you must have an e-mail address associated with your Canvas account. This may be an assigned student/staff e-mail address from your school (depending on your role at your school), or this may be a personal e-mail address if you are a student. Canvas does allow you to add more than one e-mail address to your Canvas account, and you can read more about how to do that using these Guides:
Note, the student/instructor Guides are almost identical for each of these four sets of Guides I've provided to you. I just wasn't sure which role you were, so I'm providing links for both.
So, once you add an additional e-mail address to your Canvas account, you can configure how you want to be notified using that e-mail address. You can set things up to be notified for all courses or just for individual courses.
I hope this will help explain things a bit. Please let Community members know if you have any other questions about this...thanks!
I'm writing this question due to concerns regarding my students overusing AI in my classroom, which is directly in violation with my syllabus. This has been a problem for years, but recently has gotten out of hand. Since the new school year is around the corner, I'd like to know of any tactics or settings that disable AI…
I recently had an exam provided as a Canvas Quiz in my class, and used some questions copied from question banks from other sections and prior years of the course. Some of those questions had "General Answer Comment" text already saved in them. I changed that text in several questions as I updated/changed the questions.…
I would like to suggest improvements to how collaborations function within Canvas LMS. Currently, collaborations are somewhat limited in how they can be accessed and integrated into course content. One potential improvement would be allowing collaborations to be directly linkable within Pages and Modules. This would make…
We are using the Learning Mastery Gradebook with an rubric on account-level. When we enter the gradebook, the sorting does not make any sense. How can we make the sorting so it makes sense to us. It feels like a randam sorting.
Can Canvas please create the option to use a "total points" system such that both the gradebook and the student grades page can show accumulated total points, not as a fraction of total points earned/total points possible? This would be SO helpful for progress tracking in a self-paced course where I do not want 0s entered…
