Student had a 0 for an assignment, turned it in and I changed the grade in Canvas, when I synced with SIS, it didn't change the grade. What should I do?

It may very well sync with SIS, but it will not show up until a certain time on SIS. What I mean is that I know our system will make any changes every 1-4 hours early in the semester. Or at Midnight only later in the semester. My suggestion would be to wait 24 hours to see if the grade updated on SIS or not.
