Why doesn't Canvas Attendance have an "excused" option in taking attendance. We often have to track excused and unexcused absences, yet there's no real way to do that.

You're right. I think many instructors would appreciate this option. This has been included in the long-standing Attendance Overhaul thread. (It's the only Idea Conversation focusing on an entire feature vs. a single functionality/change). I hope you can join the discussion and share your use case.

I also need an excused option placed with attended, absent or tardy. The students can't see the badges so I have to count excused students as present, so it doesn't count against their total, but is also inaccurate. Please fix this!
Our "Outcomes" has not been working for about 6 months. Teachers can't build and attach Outcomes to new quizzes. Canvas said it was a rollover issue. Canvas won't fix it unless we pay them $2000 to "re-train" us for 10 hours. Has anyone had this problem and did it get fixed?
