How do I copy a calendar event into a different calendar?
Hi @alan_cordeiro and welcome to the Canvas communityThis can be done by going into the course for the second calendar and using the content import tool to copy items from the course where the first calendar is located. For more details, see this post where a similar question was asked:
Is there a way to copy the calendar events from one course to another?
There is nothing simpler than that??? This was requested in 2016 and in 2020 there is nothing? We just transitioned to Canvas and it's a flaming mess.
2022 adopter here and Calendars is clearly still a flaming mess. I have 38 events I need to populate on my course and there is no way I am click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-type-click-click 38 times. What happened to "upload .csv file"?
2024... Is there any effective way like a "copy to ..." function to or "select multiple courses to enter calendar events" ?
I'm looking for a way to copy a calendar event from one class to another that are occurring during the SAME grading period. For example, if I'm teaching a period of Biology and a period of Astronomy and the BOTH have an event on the same day, I want to just copy from one class calendar to the other. Alternatively, I could choose to have the event apply to both classes when I create the event.
The "answers" listed above seem to be talking about copying calendar events from one term to another term or from one year to another year, which is different that what I'm trying to do.
As a student, I want to be able to copy events to my own calendar. It would be great if students had either api access to their account (so I could set this up myself) or if canvas offered a share with email feature for their calendar.
Hi all, I'm looking to see if this has happened for anyone else. A student completed a Classic Quiz and one question was counted wrong that should not have been. In the quiz settings, the instructor entered 9 possible answers for this question. The student entered one of these answers. However, that particular question was…
Looking for the addition of partial credit for alternative format questions in Canvas, like ordering and category/matrix. We can only do it in close drop down, matching, and multiple response.
Has anyone found gaps in their course analytics ? I'm currently seeing missing last view date, last participation date, and participations at overall course level, even though the same data is present at individual week and student level. Am also seeing truncated asset counts ie we are seeing only the global header counts,…
It would be very beneficial for observers (parents) if they could view instructor comments. If they had access to this information, they could better understand the grading of individual assignments and better understand the errors that their student made.
I have a new React + Flask webapp. It has its own login for users to start using the app. I have added this as an external tool in Canvas. What I want initially is to see of canvas users can start using the webapp without having to login if they click on the external tool link in a canvas course. I have 2 methods…
