I would really like for grades of zero to set an automatic status of "missing" because having to do this manually is time consuming. This is really more of a request than a question. "Late" is an automatic status which I really appreciate, but zeros are only marked "missing" if it is after the due date, not if i type a…
I have created different groups for my class to easily extend due dates to students with extended time. While testing how grades would be displayed on my school's gradebook (Focus) I created an assignment, created different due dates using the aforementioned groups, and attempted to sync the grades. I am unable to post…
Students who submit or resubmit work to Canvas after I've entered the grades into our official gradebook are expected to email me screenshots of improved grades in Canvas. I then update them in our official gradebook outside Canvas. This used to work great. Unfortunately, this year, they can type in whatever grade they…
I recently copied last school year's Canvas page (Not the Sandbox) into my new classes. When my students open their page for my class it says, "This page was blocked on Dec. 20, 2004." They are able to click on the modules, but the main home page won't populate. Any thoughts on a fix?
Our district is switching to Canvas LMS from all Microsoft. I would like to continue to use my OneNote class notebook content. Is it possible to have more than one Class Notebook per Canvas course so that I can have one per period. (class periods are cross listed under the same course)
Does anyone have a suggestion concerning presenting bot proof check in activity for a 1st day of college online class?
I am a lecturer, and we are using Outcomes to assess if students are learning certain subjects. Currently, we have access to individual student outcome numbers, as well as the average for our class for each Outcome. What would be most useful to the teacher is the Outcome numbers by assignment. This would allow us to look…
The Announcement dates feature is a royal pain. Why can't you add a publish or unpublish button without having to add a future date to avoid publishing? Why can't you add a batch edit feature for the dates like there is for assignments? It's very inconvenient that announcements publish by default unless you play with the…
How can a teacher see revisions and edits for a resubmitted paper/written assignment? For example, a student receives teacher feedback on a draft, then resubmits--how can the teacher merely view the revisions, i.e. color-coding or highlighting?
Is it possible to edit instructor comments once submitted in Speedgrader? Previously, I could do this by going into the Gradebook and there was a pencil icon to edit the comment. Now, I only see a trashcan icon to delete the comment. When a small error is made in the comments, it would be really nice to be able to edit and…
