When is the free version going to be up and running?

I am using Canvas both the paid version for our university, but like countless others, I also use the free version when invited to teach outside the university or even when doing workshops, presentations, etc.

When is the free version going to be back up? I have a lot of course/workshop data on the free version.

Considering the hacking group has restored all of the data to Instructure, the free service data are also available. When do you guys intend to pony-up the data? (Please refrain from giving me the run-around.)

@MarkRobertFreiermuth, I know this is is frustrating, but like James said, we're working hard behind the scenes. As soon as an update is available, I'll personally update this and all FFT threads to insure everyone hears about it quickly.

@MarkRobertFreiermuth I expect that it is pretty frustrating that Free-for-Teacher accounts are down right now and that some people rely on that instance for more than just testing. While I have no insider knowledge, I know Instructure is working hard to get that instance back up and running. As the Free-for-Teacher is managed differently than client accounts, IUnstructure is working hard to ensure security in that instance before re-opening it to the public.

Part of the problem, though, is that most of us can't log in to the support community with our free accounts. I am having to use my ESD PD account to even see this much. Then I send screenshots to the other teachers in my district that only have the free account. We have been working for 3 years to show the value of a Canvas LMS to our district to convince them to pay for it, but the absolute lack of communication to our FFTs (especially since grades are due for most of us) has essentially solidified their decision to force us to use Google Classroom instead.
